한복 디자이너와 한복 전문가 3분을 모시고 한국 드라마, K-POP에 등장하는 한복을 소개하며 전통 한복 착장을 시연하는 자리를 마련하였습니다.

The Korean cultural Center Washington DC recently hosted a special presentation on the prominent role of traditional Korean fashion in the wildly popular world of Korean TV dramas.
The program was presented in partnership with the George Washington University Museum and to text time museum on June 6th.
hallyu and handbook traditional Korean attire in pop culture looked at what makes hanbok unique and the process of wardrobe design for many historical K-dramas, a major part of the global hallyu phenomenon.
This was the first event in the Korean Cultural Center’s new K-lecture Series, and featured three Hanbok specialists from Seoul, Korea: researcher Lee Minjung and designers Hwang Suntae and Um Jungok.
Guests were treated to an inside look at these iconic styles and a demonstration of distinctive outerwear pieces worn by the nobility during Korea’s ancient Joseon Dynasty. [The program concluded with a reception of traditional Korean cuisine, to complete the experience.]
