한국 우수문화 상품전시

7월 12일부터 25일까지 LA한국문화원 2층 아트갤러리에서 개최되는 "Excellent Cultural Products From Korea" 한국 우수문화 상품전의 개막식이 12일 화요일 문화원에서 열렸습니다.
The opening ceremony of “Excellent Cultural Products from Korea” was held on Tuesday, July 12th at the Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles. This exhibition runs from July 12th to July 25th on the 2nd floor art gallery.

'한국우수문화상품'이란, 전통문화의 가치를 담은 기업 문화상품을 문체부가 엄선하여 유통 및 홍보를 지원해 주는 상품을 말합니다.
“Excellent Korean Products” are corporate products that are rooted in traditional Korean culture, which are carefully selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to be promoted and distributed.

이 우수문화상품전을 통해서 한복과 한식 공예, 캐릭터, 콘텐츠 이러한 것들을 주재국에서도 많이 즐길 수 있게 되기를 기대하고 있습니다.
Our hope is that through this “Excellent Cultural Products” exhibition, America will be able to enjoy Hanbok, Hansik, crafts, characters, and content more so than ever.
<내레이션>
이번 전시에는 이렇게 다섯 개 분야별로 태극 저고리 고름 모양의 우수문화상품 지정표시를 부착된 제품 50여점을 전시했습니다.
This exhibition displays about 50 products in five different categories which are represented by a unique mark that resembles the Hanbok (traditional Korean clothes) coat string, K-Ribbon.

현장에는 볼리비아 총영사를 비롯한 각계 각층의 인사가 참여해 자리를 빛내주었습니다.
On the opening night, Bolivia Consul General and other distinguished personnel kindly participated in the event.

Exhibition was wonderful that they are showing not only traditional foods traditional makewear, traditional clothing, their literature, porcelain, terracotta,
it's a mix of lot of things that represent entire Korean tradition. That something all that combine is what? interested in the Korean tradition and culture.
이 전시회에서는 전통적인 음식, 전통 옷차림, 문학, 자기, 테라코타 뿐만아니라 한국 문화를 대표하는 많은것들을 전시해서 참 훌륭하다고 생각됩니다.
그 모든 것을 합친 것들이 제가 관심있어 하는 한국 전통과 문화입니다.

36년 동안에 이런 행사는 처음이고, 대중적이면서도 전통적인 것, 그리고 모든 사람들이 즐겨서 볼 수 있는 것.-

한국문화에 관심있는 현지인들의 반응 역시 뜨거웠습니다.
Also, locals who are passionate about Korean culture were equally excited to see such a marvelous display of Korean products.

and these are different seaweeds with different things. i think one of them is a lotus root.
이것들은 여러가지 다른 채소와 해초입니다. 이것중에 하나는 연근 뿌리인것 같습니다.

It's great idea to provide, giving us those different types of food that you have
because i like trying new things
and when I go to the Korean market things I know which one to buy. So that's a good thing.
We don't even go shopping in American market.
No, we go to Korean market
이렇게 여러가지 음식들을 제공하는건 좋은 생각인거같아요.
제가 새로운것을 시도하는걸 좋아하거든요.
한국 마켓에 가서도 무엇을 사야할지 아니까 좋아요.
이젠 미국 마켓을 가지도 않아요. 한국마켓으로 가죠.

I think that there is a very high quality in terms of different products ranging from the different teacups, over to the different Hanbok style.
제 생각에는 이 상품들이 정말 좋은 품질의 상품들인것같고, 찻잔부터 여러 스타일의 한복까지 여러가지의 상품들이 있는것같아요.

and so seeing these different products really kind of puts everything in to the present. Allows us to see what Korea is currently producing.
그래서 이 상품들을 보면 현재를 더 잘 알 수 있는 것 같아요. 지금 한국에서는 무엇들을 생산하고 있는지 볼수 있죠.

문화원 전시가 끝난 후에는 한류 열풍의 중심인 KCON으로 옮겨 개최기간인 7월 29일부터 31일까지 LA Convention Center에서 전시를 이어갈 예정입니다.
When the exhibition at the Korean Cultural Center is over, the products will be carried over to KCON, the center of Hallyu Wave, for 3 days starting from July 29th to July 31st at the LA Convention Center.
