LA태권도페스티벌

5월 21일, 22일 양일간 Industry Hills Expo Center에서 International Taekwondo festival 행사가 열렸습니다.
-International Taekwondo Festival was held at
Industry Hills Expo Center in 21, 22 of May.

<내레이션>
LA한국문화원이 후원, 미국태권도협회가 공인하고
전영인 태권도장이 주최하는 이번 행사에는
미주 30개주와 세계 10여개국에서 1,250여명의 선수가 참가하였으며, 이외에도 행사관계자와 관중 등 5,000여명이 행사에 참여해 경기장을 가득 메웠습니다.
-This festival was organized by Grand Master Cheon Youngin, sponsored by Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles and officially approved by USA Taegwondo.
There were 5,000 people who attended the festival with 1250 participants from 30 states in
America, as well as 10 different countries in the world.

SPEECH : LA문화원장 축사
Taekwondo is the most popular martial arts. And it is practised by more than sixteen million people worldwide. This now officially a core sports in the  Olympic Game.
태권도는 세계에서 가장 유명한 무술입니다. 태권도는 세계적으로 1600만 명이 넘는 사람들이 배우고 있으며
뿐만 아니라 올림픽의 경기종목으로 채택된 스포츠이기도 합니다.

<내레이션>
선수들은 품새와 겨루기 대회에서 각자의 기량을 펼쳤는데요, 특히 시각장애인 지야니(11)군의 품새 시범과, MTEAM 시범단의 태권도 공연이 열띤 호응과 지지를 받았습니다. 잠시 감상해 보실까요?
-The players did their best in the two events: Pumsae and Sparring (Kyorugi). Before the competition, Gianii Requelme-Solis from Mexico, who is blind, performed the Pumsae demonstation. The MTEAM's Taegwondo Performance were given
extremely passionate support by the audience.

Because I wanted to learn same stuffs that my brother learned.
제 남동생이 배우는 것을 저도 같이 배우고 싶었기 때문이에요.  
I learned the fourteen basic can(...?) techniques, forms,  kicks, punches.
저는 14개의 기초 테크닉을 배웠습니다. 품새, 발차기, 지르기
I would like to be just like Grand master Jang Junho.
장준호 태권도관장님처럼 되고 싶어요.

<내레이션>
현장에서는 자라나는 태권도 꿈나무들의 매서운 발차기도 볼 수 있었습니다. 그들을 응원하는 가족의 열기 또한 만만치 않았습니다.
-Lots of young players displayed their fierce kicks.
-Their family cheered them up on the spot.

인터뷰1
I've been in Taekwondo for seven years.
7년동안 태권도를 해왔어요.
(Seven years? and how old are you?)
7년이요? 지금은 몇살이에요?
I'm nine.
9살이요.

인터뷰2
I feel like girls are like.. we are really competitive in the sports and we really show our true colors and
 this sports gives us lot more power.
Lot of guys think like girls can't do Taekwondo because of their gender but it's not like that at all.
제가 생각하기에 여자애들도 스포츠에 경쟁이 굉장히 치열하거든요. 태권도는 진짜 자신을 보여줄 수 있게 하고,
저희들에게 더 힘을 실어주는 것 같아요.
많은 남자애들은 여자애들은 태권도를 못할 거라고 생각해요. 성별 때문에요. 그러나 전혀 그렇지 않거든요.

엄마 인터뷰3
The change that I saw in him. The discipline, the body structure, the organization. It's amazing. We hope he's gonna get to black belt and he will become a champion in ITF.
-올바른 가치관 형성, 충실한 성장 발달, 자신감 있는 생활 태도. 아들에게서 발견한 (태권도를 배운 후 생긴) 변화는 매우 놀라웠습니다. 우리는 그가 검은띠로 올라가게 되길 바랍니다. 그는 ITF의 챔피언이 될 것입니다.

<내레이션>
이번 겨루기 개회의 올림픽  체급 우승자와 품새남녀 그랜드 챔피온에 대해서는 LA한국문화원의 후원으로 본국의 코리아오픈 국제태권도 대회에 참여하는 항공료와 체제비가 전액 지원될 예정입니다.
-The entire cost airfare and accommodations will be covered for participating in the Korea Open International Taekwondo Festival, for the Poomse Grand Champions, and the Sparring Olympic champions, sponsored by KCCLA.

인터뷰: 전영인 사범 인터뷰
5월에 연중 행사로 하고 있습니다. 그런데 올해는 특히 리우 올림픽의 해이기 때문에 더 신경을 많이 썼고, 특히 LA한국문화원에서 많은 도움을 줬어요. 다들 즐거워하고, 태권도 발전에 조금이라도 일조한다는 그런 뿌듯한 마음이 들었습니다. 더 열심히 하도록 하겠습니다.
This is an annual event we have every May. I cared more this time because there is the Liu Olympics this year.
KCCLA has especially supported us a lot. Lots of people enjoyed today's event and that makes me proud of contributing to the development of Taekwondo. I will continue to work harder.
